Payments company Square has launched Square Stand, which turns an iPad into a point of sale device.
Jack Dorsey, Square cofounder and CEO, unveiled the new hardware at an event in San Francisco Tuesday.
The new piece of hardware secures an iPad in place and also includes an integrated card reader for secure credit card swiping. The Stand also plugs in and integrates with other hardware that merchants may have, such as receipt printers, kitchen printers, cash drawers, and barcode scanners
